Australian film Nice Package debuts in Brisbane

The Brisbane and Gold-Coast shot¬†Nice Package¬†certainly didn’t disappoint when it previewed to a packed house of cinemagoers at the State Library of Queensland last week.

Starring Brisbane’s Leon Cain, New Zealand’s Dwayne Cameron, Home and Away‘s Ashley Lyons and newcomer Isabella Tannock, the gangster comedy had the audience in hysterics all the way through, with feedback such as “entertaining”, “world class filmmaking” and reminiscent “of a young Guy Ritchie”.

Producer Melanie Poole and director Dan Macarthur (who wrote the film together) recently returned from the American Film Market where they have been shopping Nice Package around to hopefully secure international film distribution, and are also hoping to premiere the film at the top film festivals.

Nice Package marks the first cab off the rank for Poole and Macarthur’s production company, 18 Degrees Entertainment.
